Call Centre

Confessions of a Serial Interviewer by Steven Ra Ga

For a brief moment in time (couple of days) I worked at a call centre.

Our job was to call random people on the phone at dinner time 5pm, can sign them up for museum memberships.

The prices ranged from $50 to $1000 I can’t recall if that was yearly or monthly.

But their script was retarded.

You had to start of with this super wordy monologue and then hit the customer with the “it costs $1,000” line. Almost always you would hear a loud click sound.

I last a few days and then quit, got my $60 and left.
