Have you ever had safety training?

This one time when I worked for the dinosaurs company I got sent for training a “zoom boom” or off road fork lift.

When I got there to the training centre they had to warn us not to go downstairs unattended.

Apparently they had booked another class downstairs.

This class all had matching outfits, cause they were all prisoners…

These prisoners were getting out of jail soon and were on a good behaviour learn stuff to help them find work once they were free.

It was a little unnerving.

Once the brining as WHMIS videos were over it was time for some time in the machine.

To save time, the prisoners were outside with us at the same time.

Luckily they were only learning basic forklift skills, so we didn’t have to interact with them.

I did my best not to stare.

The whole training was over in 4hrs and like magic I was now shady certified to drive a massive off road forklift. Yahoo !!!

Another time I was trying to get my tickets to work up north on the rigs, so I started with the H2S course. It was cheap.

The course went okay but with my Learning Disabilities and ADD it made it difficult to pay attention. I basically almost killed myself with the gas mask test, not mixing it right.

By this point I realized I would be more of a danger to myself then anything if I went further.
